Obama’s Green-Car Plan Hits Limits

Bloomberg -- President Barack Obama’s administration is buying fewer hybrid and electric cars and more vehicles that can consume both ethanol and gasoline to meet 2015 environmental goals, favoring older technology over new.

Obama gave speeches across the U.S. last year touting his twin goals of buying only alternative-fuel vehicles for the U.S. fleet by 2015 and getting 1 million electric vehicles on the country’s roads by that year.

Could it be that the limitations of the new technologies are not workable for real world use, e.g., refueling/recharging, range, etc.??

My friend just got a new Ford eco truck engine that gets less than 17 mpg. I had a year 2000 Chevy that got 19 mpg. They want higher mpg, then the EPA comes along and destroys the mileage with excess pollution junk.

The only plan Obama doesn't have limits on, is giving $Trillions in grants to bankrupt companies so they can contribute back taxpayer dollars to his re-election campaign.

My personal spam filter passes over messages that use a funny/insulting name for any public servant, especially the POTUS, even if I don't care for all the policies coming from that office, which I don't. I know that the message is not going to be well thought out or relevant. It's just someone thinking they're going to somehow score points by being "clever".

Obama is constantly blaming anything & everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck; I inherited this mess. It is embarrassing to see a president so willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his own incompetence. But really, what were we to expect ? The man has never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act responsibly?
