Time to move one. The Toyota recall issue has been beat to death by the media.

Riddle me this. So the news last night was Toyota showing how it was impossible to hold down both the accelerator and brake; and have the Prius accelerate out of control. If that's the case how did this guy simulate a runaway acceleration? The CHP officer reported his brake lights on and smelling hot brakes. Or was his prius's computer not patched with the brake override fix so he could hold down both pedals. In which case we're comparing apples to oranges and last night's story from Toyota is that in limited demonstrations the brake override fix seems to work. But they haven't figured out why it happens in the first place.

Toyota may have very big problems, they are in MASSIVE P.R. mode and cant see the forest for the Trees. The Design and software maybe suspect and if that is the case, it will cost them dearly to resolve.

There is a problem with Toyota's. The company is just denying there is a problem. It is up to Totota to prove this guy wrong.

How many times have you taken your car in for a problem, and when you get it to the garage, it doesn't do it? Could this be what's happening here?

Its 2001 a Space odyssey all over again. HAL 9000, The Drivetrain Control Module in Toyotas are rising up to snuff out human kind. We need to move back to manual overrides. Toyota Engineers listen up!

Too much dishonesty these days. Doubt car was problem. Looking for money that is free from Toyota. Everybody these days leaning towards wanting free money rather than have to work for a living. UNREAL...

HOW CAN TOYOTA CAST ANY DOUBT WHEN THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEMS ARE OR EVEN HAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEA ON HOW TO FIX THEM.

Any way to throw the blame in a different direction seems to be the standard modus opperandi these days rather than standing up, saying I did it and then fixe it so one can move on.

Some of the newer cars not only control throttle by wire, but also the gearshift. I think Prius is among those. with shift by wire, so if the computer isn't responding...

Jizme: You may not trust or even like Toyota. But covering up anything at this point would be suicide. Toyota may have wanted to avoid a recall but I seriously doubt they will do anything blatantly stupid now that the world media is lurking to pounce.
